My 15 inch TV comes with an AC cord, which has an inline box that converts to 12V and it comes with a straight 12V cord. I'd check Amazon for a 12V cord for your particular brand and model.

Help finding a cord would be great appreciated! The tv is a Samsung UN22F5000 22-Inch 1080p 60Hz Slim LED HDTV

Inverters change the voltage from 12V DC to 110V AC. If the TV is "DC compatible", that is usually meant to say it has a 12V power supply/plug built in and can be directly connected to a 12V outlet -- no inverter in that case. The inverter only comes into play when the TV is NOT DC ready. If it turns out the TV is not AC/DC, I'd probably return it for one that is. Personal preference.

Okay. The DC cords from Radio Shack do not work as they don't have the correct plug size. :-(. Amazon does not seen to have what i need either. I am reader to get this done, right of course, but it may not get done today. Maybe I wait until the eastern rally and have the experts help me!! Next question is can I attach the tv bracket anywhere on the fried wall? It is the only reinforced wall I have installed.

I would take the TV back and get one with AC/DC cords.
You have to be very careful with Radio Shack adapters that you get the polarity right. I fried a $100 AM/FM/Shortwave radio by using the wrong tip.

You need to find some wood backing (not just the plywood) for the TV arm. Try a stud finder or tap to find the backing. My TV mounts as near the front edge as possible. The edges will always have some sort of framing behind them. Do you have build pictures which show where your framing is?

The local store does not have the "T" tip? Try another store, order it online, or ask the store to order it.

Or the "T" tip does not fit? (I would be surprised if they changed the power plug without changing the TV model number.)

I assume you mean the rear street side in the 19 which you had reinforced and there is cable there? You can mount anywhere on the wall but remember it swings out on the arm. I found mounting it on the edge where there is also a stud as Doug explained was good and you can then swing it back into the corner or around so you can see it from the front.
As far as the plug, read what the little black in line box states is the output, if 12v, you can use the male end by just cutting cord and attach a cigarette lighter end at the cut for your 12v source. Or wait until September, I'm sure one of us can help you then.

I have found a Jensen TV that is 12V, but comes with a "blunt cut 12 volt cord" how do I make that work in my cigarette lighter plug?

I think your best bet is a big box electronics store. Tell the salesman that you want a TV that has AC and DC cords included. Then make sure it actually does have both before you take it home.
I have a 15 inch Seiki, but ratings are not that great and 24 appears to be the smallest now. I can't write a review because I've only driven it around ( in a box, under the bed ), not watched it.
