Found I already have this picture. You can see the cover could, in no way, fall into the sink.
If yours does, I'm bewildered.
I'm guessing you are still under warranty.
Maybe pix might explain your predicament.

No, not at all. The OP said "new buyers" and that includes lots of folk that order the standard formica. All I said is that I ordered some later from them. But the OP didn't raise the issue of buyers who supplied custom fabric or formica specifically and I didn't comment on it.

Some of these issues are like "Buyer's remorse", "If I had known about it, I would have done it" scenario.. Well now you know, so next time you buy , you ask in advance, not after taking delivery. An educated consumer takes practice. That is why there are repeat customers. I'm sure your first new auto purchase was a learning experience. But you went on and bought another new one.

We had ETI install their standard Formica, but I ordered a 4'x4' piece extra. I don't have any immediate plans to use it but I am reassured I now have matching material for future projects or changes. The cost was minimal

To paraphrase Honest Abe, "You cannot please all of the people all of the time."
I chose to go with the standard upholstery and standard Formica because I felt that should I want to make any custom "additions" after having my trailer for a while, I could readily obtain the needed materials from ETI. My build list currently specifies an additional 2 Yards of upholstery material be supplied with the trailer, in the event we decide to make some kind of curtain to close off the bed area in the 5.0TA.

Carl,
Spoken from a strange eye from a straight guy sometimes a complimentary color will highlight an existing scheme vs more of the same original background.

When you build a custom built sticks 'n bricks home, they don't stack all the "extra" stuff in the garage for you....

Actually...
I have a couple of stacks of left-over flooring, tiles, trim and paint in my basement, and a couple of bundles of left-over shingles in my garage.
Didn't get the sink-cutout from the granite counters, though. That woulda been cool...
Since I let myself get dragged into the discussion, I tend to agree that if ETI asks for more fabric than they need, they should at least offer to return the extra. I think the formica is less of an issue, because most people wouldn't have any use for it.
But it's all small potatoes...

During my pickup I requested any pieces of left over wall covering. It was met with a "we do not save any items". I had thought something from window openings might be around. Like many of you, I did not have a plan for its use so just brushed it off. Who you ask can probably make a big difference?

I got my fabric back and didn't even need to ask for it. It was in the trailer, in the loft, when I picked up Ten Forward.

Brought our Escape home nearly 2 yrs ago with custom fabric and Formica. When we picked it up, they had a box of leftover fabric waiting for us. Didn't get any left over Formica, but it was a standard pattern readily available at any major building supply store. The leftover fabric may eventually be put to use in additional cushions or another project, and I am happy it was returned to us.
My sink cutout fits in the sink without falling in. If yours falls into the sink, I would suggest adding a bit of rubber trim (or other suitable material) around the exterior to increase the diameter. Should be a simple fix. Alternatively, give Reace a call and maybe they will be able to help you out.

Hi: C&G in FL... I guess we are lucky to have leftovers at home. We find the open concept is nice so we don't have a curtain in the loft. Because the mattress is on the floor the bed covers stay tucked in so a quick flip and the bed is made!!!
If our Daughter comes camping with us we use a leftover shower spring rod and an old curtain that matches our Mom made quilt. To add this in the dinette you just have to be sure the spring rod is against the cabinet frame on both sides. Alf

You have a different sink and the corners are all covered by the insert. My stainless sink has gaps at the corners so the insert slides around and falls in.
ETI probably used the wrong template when they routed my part. I'll probably make a new one out of a cutting board if wifey approves; easy to create an accurate template using a piece of clear plexiglass laid across the sink to trace the shape of the hole.

This is the underside of my sink cover, if that helps.

Very similar to my all time favourite quote, also from Mr Lincoln.

Uh oh, since were quoting Lincoln, here's my favorite -- and it goes well with what Jim said about planning:
"Give me six hours to chop down a tree and I will spend the first four sharpening the Axe."

Removing ETI formica

Discovered whatever adhesive ETI uses on their formica is easily overcome with MEK to remove the formica in one piece. Next step is make a cutting board into a sink hole plug that fits like yours and glue it back on the formica

I guess my sink cover fits. Wouldn't know, pitched it in the closet. I don't think there was much Formica left over after my build. Between the kitchen and the three stooge tables I had added. Maybe a small chunk. Don't care if there was a bunch left over. I got the build I wanted! YMMV Just try THAT with the other manufacturers of all molded towables...

Actually I am of the same mind - sink doesn't really care if it's covered or not, and the cover is functionally useless; which is why I think a cover that is a true cutting board makes a whole lot more sense.
