Have had our new Escape 19 for a month and love it! However, we left ETI with the fresh tank full and even though we used the water from it and even drained some out periodically, it is always full. We think it must be filling up when we are hooked up to city water. Has there been any new word on whether the pump is to blame. It is brand new! We will try the suggestion about depressurizing the pump and then call ETI if that doesn't work. Just wondered if there was any new info from forum members.
Yes, several other owners have experienced this, there is a bypass valve that seems to stop operating, allowing the fresh to enter the tank.
There is a check valve that is incorporated with the Shurflo pump to stop water from back feeding into the freshwater tank when hooked up to city water, but if this is bad wouldn't the tank continue to fill and you would have water continuously coming out of the tank overflow? J&G didn't indicate this was happening. ??
Here's an interesting twist on this problem. On all my trailers I have added a diverter line with stop valve from the city water input line to the fresh tank fill line so I can intentionally fill the fresh tank from the city water connection. I've got my fingers crossed that I'l be able to add that mod to my new 17B when I get it next year.

Thank you. I got on the road yesterday for the first time since last spring and my fresh water tank overflowed last night. So, following suggestions on this thread, I turned off the campground water and ran about 10 gallons of water through the pump (Showers, etc). Another campground tonight and no problem. yay!
