The Dickinson cooktop manual says that the largest usable pot diameters are 10" and 6" (for the larger and smaller burners). Unfortunately, I have not seen a corresponding specification for other recessed cooktops.

I’m seeing a number of experienced owners as you say cpaharley2008 replicating.
That’s just got to be one of the best for ETI 19s!!
You went up to a 21er and back in to a 19.

I’ve been seeing used 17b(s) showing up and ETI has the 2017 demo 21 available but I still like the looks of the 19. All you folk that are getting them is telling me to wait and customize my own.

BTW is the 19 ETIs best seller?

Have a safe trip. The rain should let up for your arrival. Keep in mind there is fresh snow in the BC mountains and I would not travel that route just yet. If not snow, there will be a lot of muck.

I don't know if it's their best-seller or not, but I wouldn't be surprised if it was. My husband and I just committed a couple of weeks ago and are SOOO excited!! We went through what I understand is a common evolution... we started out thinking we wanted a pickup camper, then decided against it when it became obvious to safely haul all but the lightest of these campers, one really needs a 1-ton truck. I was just not willing to buy and drive such a monster. Then we considered a Class B motorhome (basically a large van) and rejected that idea after seeing what one with a diesel engine would cost (upwards of $85K for a well-USED one). About this time I was looking around for options for a light-weight 5th wheel trailer and discovered the Escape 5.0TA. We decided that's what we wanted. That was up until learning all about the payload limitations for 1/2 ton pickups and realizing again, we would have to buy more truck than we really wanted to tow it, within our limits for safety. During this time I test drove a 2017 Chevy Colorado duramax diesel that was sitting on a dealer's lot, which they badly wanted to sell and offered me a deal I couldn't refuse. After walking off with it, that's the point we decided on the 19'. We are now thrilled with the decision and feel it was absolutely the right one, even though it took awhile to get there. We will be completing our build sheet in the next month and picking it up in August. Can't wait, and can't be happier about it!!

We'll be heading back to Bellingham and down the coast. I think we should have decent road conditions except for the traffic.

Dan,
May we suggest the route we took. After picking up our Escape, stocking up on food & supplies in Bellingham, and trying out everything in a WA state park (Bayview), we took the ferry from Coupeville to Port Townsend (and avoided Seattle traffic) then headed west and south down the west side of the Olympic peninsula on US-101, camping along the way whenever we felt like stopping.
On another trip we traversed US-101 on down the Oregon coast as well. IMO, the coasts of WA, OR, and the coastal redwoods on the northern end of CA are some of the most beautiful places to see anywhere. US-101 in those areas is all two-lane highway, easy driving, with lots of places to explore if you want.

Thanks for the great info. We decided to follow your route, at least for a while. I've booked us a spot on the ferry and we'll do 101 down to CA then go inland.
