Article 15 is "non-judicial punishment" while Article 16 is an actual "Court-Martial" which involves a military judge (or judges) and can carry penalties up to and including imprisonment. I was in the USAF for four years (active duty) and 7 years active reserve, did two tours in Viet Nam. never got in any trouble at all and got an honorable discharge.

Glad you made it out of Viet Nam in one piece.. I was USAF, did my 4 years and got out in 79..way after the Nam years. The main reason I was acquainted with the Art 15's was that I was in accounting and had to implement the fines and then explain to people why they're not getting paychecks.
