Going forward -

hey guy's, I just got a message from a member who was "thinking out loud" that we should move/put all the product reviews under the newly created "Product Review" board. I'm inclined to agree so, unless I hear otherwise I'll start moving the appropriate threads over later this week.. But going forward we probably should put those reviews/posts in the new board..

Re: Going forward -

Only question I have is: aren't a lot of "product reviews" responses to questions that are appropriately under another section. For instance, a back-up camera, or telescoping rods under "hitches and towing", or my review of 3M coat hooks under Owners Helping Owners in response to a query about hooks.

I haven't seen that many posts that are strictly reviews and that didn't result from a question posted under an appropriate section.

Re: Going forward -

If we would just put everything under General Discussion, we wouldn't have to discuss this.

Re: Going forward -

How about this.. we do nothing about the history and people just use the "search" function to help find what they need.

If someone is going to do a product review (such as myself) just go ahead and place it where they think it's appropriate. I'm using the "product review board" because they mostly are links to RVTravelTV.com . I'm having fun doing the video thing and I find it interesting and I think a 3min review is easy to watch and do.

Anyway, I'm just doing what I'm doing, since I'm not doing too much.. (whatever that meant)

Re: Going forward -

I'd say if someone is doing a product review, they should place it under Product Review, but it would be a lot of work to go through all previous posts that contained a "review" and move them, and that would split them from whatever thread was active. Or maybe I just don't understand what you intend when you said earlier you would move some stuff to Product Review.

I have no idea what I'm talking about.

Does "General Discussion" have anything to do with Army Brass?

Ok - I was in the military and if you got into trouble, something not too drastic they would issue an Article 15 ( punishment ) and it varied from monetary (fine) to something like restricted duty (not quite imprisonment..) I think Article 16 was more like getting discharged or had a heftier penalty to it.. But I could be wrong it was a long time ago since I was in the service..

Re: Going forward -

sorry guys...I steered you down a bad path. I was attempting a joke...and it went nowhere. Article 15 is "non-judicial punishment" while Article 16 is an actual "Court-Martial" which involves a military judge (or judges) and can carry penalties up to and including imprisonment. I was in the USAF for four years (active duty) and 7 years active reserve, did two tours in Viet Nam. never got in any trouble at all and got an honorable discharge.

I thought you were joking I should-of never started it with Article 15 reference as it had no place to go except down..

Glad you made it out of Viet Nam in one piece.. I was USAF, did my 4 years and got out in 79..way after the Nam years. The main reason I was acquainted with the Art 15's was that I was in accounting and had to implement the fines and then explain to people why they're not getting paychecks.
