Thank you dear neighbours on the other side of the border!
Hope today will be better then yesterday: Had a big funnel cloud hovering over Ponoka. Did minor damage to some of the houses, but luckily no one hurt. Scared quite some people as the campgrounds are overloaded with stampede going on.

Better hope that Canada Post isn't the carrier and that they don't have a strike/lockout this weekend.
I've got a package from Amazon.ca that is supposed to be delivered in a week. Maybe it will, maybe it won't.

Thank you Donna.

Enjoyed your President's address to our Parliament yesterday. In another life he could've been a stand-up comic. Funny guy. He must have especially enjoyed the part where all the members started chanting "4 more years"

Yup, the one day where a handful of Canadians might actually fly the flag. It always amazes me the difference between driving through Canadian and US towns. So many more flags visible in the US and not just on a national holiday.

No, I'm not making a political statement by flying the Union Jack. It has a long history in our family and I fly it every Canada Day and it was flown when it used to be called Dominion Day.

Ron

The July 1st fireworks in Osoyoos were competition quality. Apparently in the top 3 I am told for Canada Day celebrations.

Had a fantastic long weekend camping. A buddy put together a cool beer crate, with craft beer from every province. Small group for Canada Day this year, just 15 of us. Next year though, we are going to have one hell of a party at our land to celebrate Canada's 150th birthday. Planning has already started.

Sounds like a fun event, I'd crash it but we're doing cross Canada next year and for some strange reason, known only to her, my wife wants to be in Ottawa on July 1st.

If plans change, you (or anyone else) would be welcome to crash. We have lots of room.
