Height of loft in Escape 5.0?

Anyone know the height (from top of mattress to ceiling) in the loft bed in the Escape 5.0? I imagine it is different at the head of the bed vs the foot.
Thanks!
Fran & Dave

You win the prize for most unique question. Height of loft! And one my husband and I were just discussing yesterday! Really. Alf?? Ever had that one?

The 5.0 Scamp has that exotic camel look.

We thought it looked more like a whale - we nicknamed it 'Moby'....

Ok, now we know the name "Moby".

I'm the one who posed the question to Fran about her Scamp and how it compared to the Escape.

Inquiring minds want to know...so what's the loft height on the 5.0?

Question my wife asked me "Is it big enough to sit up in?"

Hi: All... This depends on how thick the mattress is. Ours is 8" thick as opposed to the std. 5" one used by Escape. Here's a pic of my wife sitting up in bed. Hope no one is offended by it!!! Alf

Thanks - didn't think it would be an issue. I guess we would still like to know the actual measurement...maybe the height from the 'floor' of the loft rather than the top of the mattress....

Hi: FMLNM... Just happened to have my tape measure handy and braved the rain to get your answer. 3'7" loft floor to ceiling at the top of the stairs.

THANKS! Didn't mean to send you out in the rain!!! We had not even thought about either but then someone asked me for the Scamp measurements...
Interesting - that height is actually the same as the Scamp loft at that end of the bed when measured to the 'floor' and not the mattress top. The Scamp drops off to 3' 2" at the nose (floor to ceiling).
Thanks again!
Fran & Dave

Thank you so much Alf! A picture is worth a thousand words, and that picture addressed my wife's concern directly.

Hi: LeonardS... Glad I could help. We really enjoy the separation of bed and living space. I know the 5.0 is hard to understand. It looks so small on the outside yet is so spacious and well laid out on the inside. The aerodynamics is what brought me to buy one...and the gas mileage just gets more important every day. Alf
