I sat in every single chair at Cabela's and Camping World to figure out what worked best for me. Multiple times and trips.

Trash can & bags

Grab a pile of garbage can liners from home, fold them up neatly and put them in the bottom of your trash can, below the currently used liner. That way they're always there when you need 'em.

Our upcoming 17B will be our first camper, so we have never had to think about stocking one before. We have an RV show coming up in Nashville in a couple of weeks, and while we of course will not be in the market for a camper, we are thinking that it may be a good opportunity to finds lots of vendors in one place.

The only things that we have already bought are a Magma cookware set, an Andersen leveler and a toaster oven. Plus we already have a Coleman cook stove from our tent camping days. And we are also getting the starter kit from Escape.

So what else should be on our shopping list? Thanks for any and all suggestions.

Alf, I'm working on a deal with Jim Bennett right now, if it works out as expected, I'll gladly send some of the money your way.

After you settle on the chairs, you'll need some beer, wine, and a good book. Let us know when the beer arrives, we'll stop over and help you drink it.

these are cool. fold up small and quite comfy.

we recently spent 7 months living on-board and found that a good stereo that connects (wireless) to the TV for movies, a good outside carpet, a T fitting for the hose so along with a short hose works for washing feet etc. and a good outside grill with a griddle are things that were super useful to have.

If you have an iPhone or such, you can download music from your iTunes and connect to a wireless speaker by Bluetooth.
Compact, simple solution.
I currently have a redundant iPod Classic ( doesn't have Bluetooth ) and a redundant iPod dock ( no Bluetooth ). All replaced by my iPhone and a JBL speaker ( there are better rated ones ).

Good source for research into techy stuff is The Wirecutter:
