We live in the Phoenix metro area. We have an early 2014 19' Escape with insulated windows and the insulation option. The A/C, although uncomfortably loud, will keep the interior temps in the low 70s (or cooler.) We do not sleep well with the A/C running - too noisy for us.
Depending on the fridge model and installation, it is likely to have problems keeping cold in July/August and early September in Phoenix. (And in some cases June and late September.)
We do not recommend camping in the Phoenix area July, August, or the first half of September. But it sure is nice in the winter. And Flagstaff is nice in the summer.
