Re: How many posts to not be a "Newbie"

Apparently a quote and a couple of emoticons can do the trick! :P

Almost camping season and then you won't hear from me for weeks!

Almost camping season?
I did not know that there was a season.
Christmas at Stave Lake,
I am now on 14 days off, so we are off to Prince George
Through Calargary and Edmonton then PG and home
Winter is better than summer any time,
no bugs, less crowds, pick of spots
all + + +
Geo
ps see on the road

There is a camping season! It starts after we take possession of our trailer on or before July 5, 2011. These old bones ain't into winter camping in a tent or snow shelter anymore.

The main reason we went with the 17 instead of the 15 was to have room for the Christmas tree.

cheers always,
G

Re: How many posts to not be a "Newbie"

We went for the 19, because the other half wants a full time bed.
And the 19 @2400 dry is about1/3 rd the weight of my last stick trailer.
Also Canadain built
win,win

Re: How many posts to not be a "Newbie"

We have the 17B and my buddy has the 19.
And, I have envy.

We keep the rear dinette as a bed, and although I love the combo of a light trailer and the RAV4 V6, I would love to have the four-seat dinette, for guests and for comfort when there's only the two of us.

The open feeling at the front, with the large dinette and the kitchen set-up really works.

Not that I'm in the market.

I know Glen--I thought that when we first saw the 19--and I love the fifth wheel but Doug has said NO to that idea--so I will be happy with my 17...It is SO much better than the Boler and we had that thing decked out pretty good..
Now, for when we can try the king sized bed...that'll be great...

Re: How many posts to not be a "Newbie"

I think on other forums they call this a "hijack".... but I'll bite anyway.

We where actually in the market for a 13 foot reminicient of our Boler days ('71 Boler - sold it in 1998). We fell in love with the Escape 15b because of the bathroom (maybe I'm OCD about sleeping or eating inches from a port-a-potti). We wanted room for just the two of us.

Our granddaughter (9 now - months that is) had us change our minds in favour of the 3rd bed. After the Boler and the slide-in truck campers that we have had, the 17b seems like The Ritz (hotel not cracker!).

5 months and a bit to go! My goal is to not be a "Newbie" by the time we pick up the trailer.

We don't "own" one either, but knowing that "egg" will be hatching this summer makes us feel like proud parents already!
