How many posts to not be a "Newbie"

I can't seem to find information on how many posts I need to not be a "Newbie"

Its seems much nicer to be a "Jr. Member" or "Hero Member" than a newbie.

Does membership classification automatically change once we have possession of our Escape?

Sigh! Thats not for another five and a half months

I think that I need a new hobby to try to get my mind off the clock ticking 'till summer.

cheers, (its snowing heavily right now)

Re: How many posts to not be a "Newbie"

It goes by the number of posts that you do.. I can check to see what the thresholds are if you're really interested, or just post and be surprised that it changes

Re: How many posts to not be a "Newbie"

I believe it was 100 to get out of the "newbie" category, and into the "Jr". Hero's are those dedicated lots who have posted more than 500!!!!! Which means they've had a lot of time on their hands : - )
Yours truly, Hokie Hero

Re: How many posts to not be a "Newbie"

And, just to confuse the matter further....Jeff has red stars, Hokie Hero has yellow and I have green.

My guess would be that Jeff is supposed to stop posting, Hokie Hero is warned and I am free to post. Although if you look at the numbers, I have more posts than either of them.

Jeff is the owner and administrator, so I'm surprised that he isn't a super-hero .... or maybe he is and just modest.

We were all newbies at one time, except maybe Jeff This isn't like the Army where the more stars you have the more juice you have. Newbies bring knowledge to the forums too.

Re: How many posts to not be a "Newbie"

Although there is nothing "wrong" with newbie status, I just thought that maybe there should be more status catagories - like "Newbie minus 6 months" or "Beginner", "Intermediate", and "Advanced" Newbie.

Just wondering....

Re: How many posts to not be a "Newbie"

I think we should consider regional newby designators.

Newfy newby
Cheese newby
Calinewby

etc.

Re: How many posts to not be a "Newbie"

Here's the current settings for our forum:

Desc Posts
Newbie 0
Jr Member 50
Full Escapee 100
Sr Member 250
Hero Member 500

So I can add/change the description and the thresholds for each group.. Of course Donna will always be a Hero in my eyes!!
