Thanks, Brian. I knew there was a current loss when a diode is inserted in a line. When asking this question, I suspected damage to the TV would be the result of voltage from the trailer's battery via the brakes would travel "backwards" to the controller. My thinking was if the blue wire in the TV's harness were cut and a diode inserted, it would prevent current from frying the brake controller as there would be no complete circuit. But I wasn't sure if the current loss from the diode would affect the braking function of the trailer. Again, thanks for the explanation.
