Hurricane Barry: For Anyone Evacuating

Just saw the Barry Emergency Rain and Flood Warning for Louisiana. If anyone is evacuating we are in Bastrop, TX just 20 miles east of Weird (Austin). It is close enough to get here in a (long) day, but should be far enough away to only get some rain (if you accept the forecasts).

You are welcome to come here, we have room at our home for 1 or 2, with a number of campgrounds in the area. Would be happy to coordinate campgrounds, meals, etc. We can have an impromptu hurricane rally!

I love Escape owners! Mike, that's so very nice of you to offer. In the worst of times, it's with a glad heart we can help others.

Donna, we know how traumatic situations like this can be. A few years ago we were evacuated from our home due to a forest fire that ultimately consumed more than 40,000 acres and 1600 homes. Our home was ok, but we could not go home for 9 days.

People should feel free to contact me by pm if they wish.
