When I saw your post I said nooooooooooooooo, don't do it. Back in 2003 on a warm April afternoon I decided I was going to get back into motercycles. My wife begged me to not get another motorcycle and try a convertible. So I happen to drive by a Honda car dealer and there it was a nice shiny new Honda S2000, I test drove it and bought it. Had it a year, only drove it on sunny days, no rain, put on a pedestal and after 1 year and 2,500 miles I sold it because I was always fussing with it and there were too many rules. I now have an RV and I wouldn't trade it for anything, it is much more relaxing.

I got lucky
Got the Harley
Got the convertible
Got the RV
Kept the girl of 39 years.
And yes - all are fussy and only go out when it's dry.
