Re: If you have an escape now, what did you have before?

Good poll, Ron.

We bought a used Casita on ebay almost 6 years ago. We learned the merits and charm of fiberglass trailers. Then two years after that we saw our first Escape at the Bandon, Oregon gathering and knew that's what we really wanted. The introduction of the 19' is what really made us make the jump. We're very happy we did!!

Re: If you have an escape now, what did you have before?

We had a little bare bones fiberglass topped tent trailer (canvas sides) after a COLD WET weekend it went up for sale and we had a 75 Boler by the end of the week...

13 years later we got our Escape....

Re: If you have an escape now, what did you have before?

Pre-Escape, we were in a Sierra Design tent and we used it this summer at Garibaldi Lake and at Deer Pass in the South Chilcotin (photo below). Unfortunately the tent leaks and the zipper is broken in one direction. New tents are lighter now so we're shopping for a new one for next summer to use in places the Escape can't go. Coming from a tent, we really appreciate the luxury of the Escape - heat, lights, solid roof, toilet facilities without crawling through a vestibule. I hesitate to call it "camping".

We won't have our Escape until April. The previous toy was a Monaro 24.

Ron,

We jumped up from a '73 13' Boler to the new 19. Big difference!
