If you order an Escape 19 with the 6.7 Fridge, where do they put the Microwave?
When looking at the pictures of the 6.7 fridge on the Escape 21 brochure, there is nothing above. Nor is there much room above it. The microwave is above the wardrobe.
Looking at the floorplan of the Escape 19 the wardrobe looks too narrow to put a microwave above it.
Can you order an Escape 19 with the 6.7 fridge and a microwave?
If so where do they put it?

Give Escape a call Monday and ask - they are most helpful. This weekend they're all at the big rally.

Normally it goes under the stove - and you lose the 2 drawers. I had the hanging closet (above the furnace, to the right of the fridge) made into 2 drawers and 3 shelves.
See: http://www.escapeforum.org/forums/f1...-a-3146-3.html post #22 last picture and post #23 first picture (The door over the 3 shelves was not yet installed for the picture.)

I *strongly* recommend you spend a number of hours/days/weeks browsing this forum. There is a wealth of information.
If you want to find something, use the SEARCH drop down menu and the BOTTOM (Search Site/Google) box - it is much better at finding relevant posts.

ETI cut my time from 4 weeks to 2 to finalize my build sheet when they accelerated the 2014 production schedule. Glad I'm retired because I spent two solid weeks searching/pawing through this forum!

Grant, after searching and reading and looking at images, I would strong suggest you start writing out a list of questions you have. Once you get on the trailer tours at the Oregon Gathering and you can physically see all the Escape models plus do a sit test.. you may change your mind about a number of things. I think it's really difficult to make any kind of final decision without actually seeing something. YMMV

We just received our Escape 19 foot trailer and we ordered the 6.7 ft.³ refrigerator my wife wishes we did not order the larger refrigerator because she does not like the microwave below the stove because you always have to bend over to use it. Plus you lose a lot of storage space so you are giving up a lot to Get a little more refrigerator space.

Kinda my think too - long way down to reheat a cup of coffee.

We have the larger 6.7 cu-ft fridge and love it. Didn't get a microwave in our 19' and have found that we have no need for one. Most of our camping is at unserviced sites so a microwave would be a waste of space anyways.

Wouldn't be hard to go backwards a bit, remove the microwave and have ETI ship you the drawers. Microwave could plug into any outlet, so just make it portable and get your storage back.

A waste of space? Where would one store the bread and muffins without one?

It's easy to get overwhelmed with all the options and customizations that you can get with your new Escape. It got to the point it was freaking me to to some extent.
I'm getting a 19 and am putting the microwave under the cook-top. I opted to move the two galley drawers to the left and lose a bit of storage under the sink, but added two drawers under the closet and put 3 shelves in the closet, which more than makes up for the galley storage.
http://www.escapeforum.org/forums/f1...y-3244-30.html - Post #297
Similar to my kitchen remodel, I wanted my sink, cooktop and microwave together and the frig needed to stay in the factory location.
I focused on the options that needed to be done by the factory, such as drawers, U-shaped booth, etc and can further personalize my 19 as needed myself. Once I submitted my build sheet, I stopped focusing on the many factory customizations that I may have over looked and just wait until I can pick her up (2 weeks!)
Overall advise, try not to over think it. Remember, it's your camper. Set it up the way it works best for you.

In the huge cabinet that the small microwave goes in. All our dry foods go in that cabinet, which is arranged with wire shelving. Mind you, we usually have little for bread and muffins.
