I went onto Progressive's website and put in myth information. The annual premium for the same coverage that Good Sam quoted was about $300 more per year.
I'm not sure how Good Sam can quote such a good price for the same coverage from the same carrier. Go figure!

We purchased via Good Sam. We didn't know it was Progressive that would be providing the coverage when we initally signed up or we would have probably went with another insurer - mainly because our prior experiences with Progressive were not ideal. But, it was substantially cheaper via Good Sam vs directly with Progressive in our case as well.

Although there have been debates about coverage area - no need to rehash that here - my auto club (Alberta Motor Association, a CAA/AAA affiliate) RV roadside coverage includes the equipment needed to tow whatever needs towing... that would be a flatdeck which can tow, or two tow trucks.
The whole Good Sam Enterprises (formerly Affinity Group or AGI) organization seems at least a little shady to me, but that's just an impression rather than an objective evaluation. Of course, stories like this insurance issue just reinforces that impression.

My insurance is going up by almost $100 for the year so time to go shopping again. And the trailer sits 10 months out of the year deep down in a storage cave totally protected from everything while the tow vehicle is out on the road every week. Go figure. Loren

Yeah Loren, imagine a world where actuarial tables and the corresponding rates were based on actual risk.

Who knows? Maybe fracking has raised the risk for cave storage.

I ended up getting Progressive insurance for similar prices what has been posted here. I had a question while working out the policy particulars .... 'where was my trailer going to be based?' Insured in Alaska, where I live, the policy was about $100 less per year than what it would be insured in the state of Washington where I store my trailer. I asked my agent why? Seems Alaska is cheaper because there are fewer miles of road and fewer other drivers. Never mind the extra months of icy and snowy roads.

Good Sam
Just finished fighting my way through Good Sam for a policy with National General. It was not a pleasant experience, maybe just luck of the draw and I got help from an agent with bad time management skills. I still ended up purchasing through them because local agents who could also write for National General couldn't get close on the price Good Sam offered. $493 / year full replacement on a 2020 21NE
