Insurance

For reference only.
I still am able to get a full replacement policy on a ten year old trailer.
My tag and $3 million third party liability cost another $87.

Who is the underwriter of this policy? Elite or someone else?

Just received quote from Progressive on 2015 17B in state of TN:
Comprehensive - ACV limit - 500 deductible - Premium 293
Collision - ACV limit - 500 deductible - Premium 99
Included with Comprehensive and (if purchased) Collision:
-- Mexico Coverage
--Fire Department Service $1,000 limit
-- Emergency Expenses $750 limit
-- Disappearing Deductible
Vacation Liability - $300,000 limit - Premium 13
Roadside Assistance - Premium 39
Total USD $ 444
Was told we could not get Total Loss Replacement, however, another Forum member from TN said they obtained it from Progressive.
Above provided for informational purposes and hope it provides help to others.
Have not accepted quote yet.
Was on the fence about the Roadside Assistance, but one poster on another thread reminded that you will need two tow trucks if tug breaks down.
Good travels to all!

The tow system I’ve witnessed is they hook the tow vehicle with the trailer still hitched and off they go. So not sure why it would require two tow trucks, unless someone only had a small flat bed.

Good Sam sends 2 trucks, one to take your trailer to a cg and the other to take the tow to a repair facility.

Agent called Progressive while we were present. They would not cover Total Replacement because TT was over two years old. They also would not provide "Agreed Amount" coverage because Escape was not on the drop-down pick list of their computerized qoute system. I guess if it's not in the computer it does not exist.

Good travels to all!

There has to be different rules for different agents at Progressive. I have full value replacement for the first 5 years on a new (2017) 21. Coverage amount was based on the bill of sale from Escape.

I think in this case the trailer wasn't new, so there was no current bill of sale to base value on. So, going with agreed value makes sense. Many insurers don't offer it, or they only offer it on select vehicles they have estimated value on in their system.
