Interior Finish
We are Casita owners who are just curious about the larger Escapes. Quick question: is there some kind of finish applied to the interior fiberglass walls? Carpet? Polished gel coat? Just wondering.
Many questions coming

Hi Mark & Claudia, Escape trailers don't have fiberglass walls (like Oliver, U-Haul or Burros) except in the bathroom . The interior is finished with a vinyl, more similar to the smooth Ensolite that Bolers and early Scamps used. The cabinetry is all Oak.
And it doesn't matter the size/model of Escape. The interior finish is the same.

I remember when we used to call it Naugahyde (brand name) in the 60s and 70s:

Most ridiculous name I've seen for vinyl: "leatherette".

The liner is a type of headliner for vehicles. It is quite a bit softer than the Ensolite usually used in classic "egg" trailers such as Bolers and Trilliums, but like the Ensolite it is foam-backed. Also unlike Ensolite, the vinyl is fabric-supported (as Karen mentioned, like Naugahyde).

It isn't actually all oak. It looks like oak.
Okay, I should have said wood oak look, rather than white fiberglass... which is typical in Scamps and Casitas.

If you can't cross paths with an Escape to look at, try emailing Escape at their website and ask for a sample. When I did they sent me pieces of the interior wood, stock formica, cabinet edging choices, and a piece of flooring all free. I believe the wallcovering has an R-5 insulation value, has foam behind the finish layer.
