Inverter and Transfer Switch Location on 21'

Where does ETI install the Go Power Inverter and Transfer Switch on 21' if getting the U-shaped dinette? Want to install the Lagun table mount and wasn't sure if those things get in the way. Also, where does ETI install the inverter control? thanks

The breaker box is mounted on the rear drivers side of the U-shaped dinette. (see pic)

The inverter is installed next to the battery box on the rear of the dinette.

The inverter control is installed on the passenger side of the dinette near the front.

Great pics! Thanks. So if one got the exterior hatch on each side (option), one side would be battery and the other side would be breaker box. I'm guessing the cutout is just forward of those.

Looks like the inverter mounted next to the converter would interfere. The inverter needs to be near the batteries so you may have to make a choice, drop the inverter for the Lagun or keep stock table. There is only so much room inside these compact units and sometimes choices have to be made.

Check out Jon's page, he's got dual-6 volt batteries, inverter and is using the Lagun table mount. Find pictures about half-way down this page: Trailer Modifications - Escape 21

Jon's trailer has the inverter mounted in the passenger side compartment of the U-shaped dinette. I'm guessing that he requested the inverter be installed there to enable the lagun mount space.

A call to Escape to see if they will still do this would be in order. It would allow the lagun mount enough space and still keep the inverter.

I didn't request the location of the inverter; I guess that is where they put in in August 2017. In any case, it would not be too difficult a move or request if the trailer isn't already built.

The difference between trailers built a few months apart still amazes me. We both have 2017 21' trailers yet they are not the same.

Thanks for the reply - I'm guessing that if the OP wants the inverter installed in a certain location, he will have to specify it or there is no telling where it will be mounted.

Inverter Interference Issue

Hi Jumboscott,
I have a 2015 Escape 21 with the U-shape dinette, and the inverter was in the way of mounting the Lagun table in the manner most others have done. However, I found an acceptable way to work around it. My explanation and pics are at posts #13 & 14 in the following thread:

Lagun Table Mount Install - Thoughts

Since that was posted, I have traveled a bit with the table in place and found everything works great. We love the Lagun table.

In an abundance of caution I have added the angle-iron across the top, but have not traveled since. Don't expect it to make much difference.

I guess, the point is, you can find a way to install it if you want the Lagun mount.

Good luck, and happy travels,

Paul

Regardless of the model or dinette style, the transfer switch is located on the back of the WFCO Power Center.

Our trailer was completed in November 2016 and it's located in the same place.

I still need to figure out how to use the silly thing. Plugging into the outlet labeled "inverter" doesn't do diddly squat when there isn't any power. Nor do I have the optional remote for it that the paperwork says is available. I don't remember if we got one and it's been stashed who-knows-where or we didn't get one.

My layout is much different, batteries and inverter are all in the left side Storage
