It's an odd feeling...

We JUST sold our 2004 Casita, which we've owned for 10 years !
I feel so naked not having a camper. But it's a good thing we're picking up a new 21' Escape in June! It's all paid for too! Cannot wait! Still feels mighty weird not having our Casita parked nearby. Dang.

Similar to quitting cigarettes, there is a void there, but once you get the new one it is gone....

We will be doing a similar thing, selling the Parkliner we've owned for 5 years later this summer or early next year. We will be a while without a trailer, but the new Escape will be also paid for with cash. We need a truck first.

Best of luck to you folks!

I'm with you. Just sold our 13' scamp and it is like a piece of me is missing. We had a lot of good memories. I'll join you in June with picking up our 21' and I can't wait to write a new chapter!

I'd been lurking on this site for a couple of months when a 2013 19' Escape came up for sell 60 miles from me. It was October 2016. I used a HELOC to buy it then waited until spring 2017 to sell our 2014 Aliner A-Frame camper. So for awhile it was a bit crowded with two trailers. I'm glad I waited. Sold the Aliner for just $3K less than I paid for it new. Paid off the HELOC and have loved the Escape ever since. So my advice: buy in the fall, sell in the spring if you can swing the logistics.

Did you hide the Escape when selling the Aliner? I don’t recommend anyone try to sell another trailer with an Escape sitting there.

We sold the 19 after buying the 21. Glenn W up on Wisconsin bought the 19 and as he left with it mentioned that he had to get going as he had to drop the 19 at the location where he’d been storing his Casita and tow the Casita home for a viewing and hopefully to sell it. “Can’t have the two of them together” he said. He sold his Casita as quickly as we sold the 19. I think well maintained fiberglass trailers are a very strong used market right now. Wash and wax, attention to detail and honest representation are the key in my opinion.
