I've escaped

It appears I am no longer on the membership list for FGRV. Had to ask to be removed twice.

I had been placed on the Moderators' list shortly after supporting Jeff in his creation of this site. So, for some six weeks, every post I made had to be vetted by the "Moderators" before it was posted. I just got tired of that, since there didn't seem to be any way out.

Apparently I challenged the moderators and apparently some of my posts were course ( although the moderators permitted them ). I couldn't get them to provide examples of offending posts. Lately, some of my posts never appeared, without explanation.

Jeff and I discussed the issue of "offending posts" after he made me a moderator on this list. I think we decided to have a section devoted to "offending" posts, should anyone ever post one and we would just move the item there.

So, I still have a home, and it's cosy.

Re: I've escaped

In the same thread you got into trouble, I got a 'mention' too. I do visit, but post almost never now.

Now that I have chosen my trailer manufacturer, this site holds WAY more interest for me as the percentage of posts that are relevant to me are real high. In FGRV I read very few of the threads.

Re: I've escaped

Hi: All... I must admit that I have been "Black Balled" in the past on FGRV. I guess I vented too much about interference...ie: removal of emoticons...I got 90 days : and all my posts had to be reviewed by the moderators...no ifs ands or butts
I guess you could say Bin there Trash that.

Re: I've escaped

Well, it's been a Black Ball party! Anyway I agree with Glenn that if we get an offensive email we create a separate heading and just let the parties "have at it", whatever floats their boats.. I really don't care, and each member can elect not to "track" that thread/category and opt out of the alert to posting feature, so really shouldn't be an issue..But my guess is that since the forum is more "Manufacturer" driven those type emails will be at a minimum. I just got to figure out a better way to screen those people who try to register on the site with the intention of posting "spam" w/o making it too rigorous to register..and keep the maintenance of the site relatively easy.

So far so good..

Re: I've escaped

How sad. I defended Jeff in a pm, but really haven't tried to post much if anything there, but don't think I'm on the list. Glad to see more life today. Is it because it is cold outside?
Baglo, I for one am glad you're here. And that goes for Jim and Escape Artist too.

Re: I've escaped

Hi all,
Don't totally ignore the fgrv forum as interesting tidbits can be found. Apparently Nevada pick-up (for those with forthcoming Escapes) can be arranged.
