I do plan to hit the Quartzite Gathering, but will probably not attend the RV show unless I decide to leave the trailer in the Parker area & drive down in the RAV4.

We just got back today from 5 days in San Clemente, Ca, where the daytime weather was in the mid 70's! It was lovely! This was our last trip in our Casita as it's going to a new home next week and we pick up our 2012 Escape 19' in May. Hmm... How to survive 5 months without a trailer...

Two for TOP on New years Eve

Ellen and I were heading out of downtown Sacramento on I-5 after a New Years Eve Day ride on our tandem along the Sacramento River. This drought is great, if it wasn't for the water problems to come . . . . anyway, up about a 1/2 mile ahead I spot an Escape in tow.

Ignoring the posted speed limits, I gain on the Escape and we catch up to our friends from the Oregon Gathering ! - Dan and Chris on their way to the Tower of Power concert at a nearby casino. Embarrassing for them, they were singing "So Very Hard to Go" at the top of their lungs ()

Great looking rig - the Escape 19 with a white F150 Ecoboost (now where have I seen that before . . . )

Hope the concert was great !

Hey Bret! Heard about the on-the-road recognition from Dan over on Facebook. Are you guys going to be camping in your Escape too?

I have just arrived at home--my shift ended at 2315..
Dare I say it--a quiet night so far tonight--not at all what I expected.
Only one RCMP crew in and not at all alcohol related.
Hope the rest of the night goes well for everyone..

And BTW---HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!

Great to see you guys! Thanks for the pics. We sure look happy! Camping will do that to you.

The concert was great. Average White Band opened and was anything but. Tower of Power was as always, excellent.

Funny thing, when Chris and I stopped for take out on the way, I dropped the truck key and it took a few minutes to find it. If I hadn't you would have never seen us.

It is 34 outside, clear and dry. 66 inside. We are having coffee and contemplating breakfast.

Happy New Year everyone.

Looks like good fun.

Our dinner last night was fantastic. We had 3 electric pots with oil, and 2 cheese pots, as well as a chocolate one for dessert. My wife made up four fantastic sauces for the food, of which there was a ton of good stuff. We have a few more good ideas for next New Years Eve now too.

Same to you and yours I lost the pool sadly for both me and the people that were stupid enough to drive / walk /bike (pedal bike) home drunk. The total count 12 from 1600 to 2400...8 more for the 2400 to 0800 guys . Oh well job security. If anyone takes affront to my blasé attitude about it I am sorry call it gallows humor..

Cypherian,
I did not know you can not walk home if you had too much to drink? Is that not counter productive? If the intent is to eliminate drunken driving?

Public intoxication is still illegal. I suppose Colorado may be different, but then we don't live there.

Yeah PI is illegal in this state usually unless your belligerent to others, walking in the middle of the road etc you most likely would not be arrested. However, if your drunk and staggering down a road and into the road , screaming obscenities and such you will be arrested for PI mostly for your protection.
