I'll be there, if only in my yard. Maybe this weekend at a cg if I can get my electric heater installed before then.

Camping in an Escape... gosh, I wish. Maybe next year! I know I don't have to go far to have a good time. Great state park about 35 miles south of me.

Happy New Year to all. Be safe and sane!

John, that sounds like a nice place to start the new year out. It is 3 below, 11 below wind chill, here in MN.

Jon, that does sound great, glad you're enjoying AZ, we cannot wait until we are able to spend a good part of winter in either TX or AZ or both.

John, that sound warm at minus 11 windchill. In sunny but extremely cold MB where we live (but we're now in NC) its minus -40 to -50 with the wind chill and that is not any difference whether it's C or F degrees!

John; A group of people I know from the Las Vegas fishing club are somewhere around you. Facebook page is Las Vegas Fishing Club. Will you be hitting the Quartzite gathering in Feb or the RV show in Jan?

Hi: All...Happy New Year!!! We won't be "out with the old" or "ringing in the new" in "Our Escape Hatch"...but will be starting our escape from the cold on Fri. Jan. 3rd. The weather window seems to be opening by then and frankly I can't wait to defrost it!!!

Sjnuss, you are in a beautiful park. Did you tow your trailer up into Chisos Basin? I'll be there later this winter.

Tonight will see fondue fun for fourteen. No playing in the snow while camping.

We did spend last weekend out at our rec land playing in lots of snow. Here are a couple pics I shared on FGRV, and some may not have seen them. We would need skis and some big snowmobile to get the trailers in, though my moms 17' Bigfoot was out there.

Our cookhouse with a big ass old wood cookstove, and a small propane heater to boot. This is where we choose to sleep at -20°C.

Snow on a tree stump, just because....

We hope the same thing every year on every Holiday alas in almost 18 years not once has it happened. People just don't think or care. Though, some are questionably over most aren't...
For the record the first one on the 1600-2400 hr shift 12/31 rolled in at 1615 hrs male .2 and rising BAC. Sigh we do not even go that early on our pool earliest time is 1730hrs....

No we are staying in the Rio Grande Village FHU parking lot with some friends. You should be able to get your 15 up in in the Basin without too much trouble. There is a Casita and Scamp up there now.
