Leaving NH for Chilliwack pickup

We thought the day would never come... But it has arrived and we are finally on the road, making the mad dash across the country to Chilliwack to pick up "Casa Blanca"!
First night's goal is Erie PA!

Long drive, but you should be able to make it in 4 or 5 days. I did Tampa to Ferndale, just nirth if Bellinham in 4 days. Past St. Louis in day 1, Fort Collins, CO on day 2, Twin Falls, ID on day 3, and Ferndale on day 4, late afternoon. The trip home was a bit slower. Took 6-1/2 weeks.

waterfront

If you have time in Erie, there is a nice waterfront area -- last year we sat outside a restaurant there and listened to music. This year we had the camper and stayed at Sara's Campground just outside the city and never made it in.

Loren and Cathy. Shoot us a message if you happen to pass near Lincoln, NE on your way home. We'd love to see your 21. Thanks!

It was GREAT to meet Ellen for breakfast! On the road I said to Charlie that we should have taken a photo of the 3 of us. Bummer that we didn't!!
It's now 1:30. We counted 134 camper trailers of all sorts so far today. None have been fiberglass. We are just outside of South Bend on I 80.

I-80 Escape Express

Glad to hear you are set up for the night. I guess I hadn't thought about whether you were staying in hotels/ motels or camping. When we went to Tucson to pick up our 19, we took the tent. It was kind of like a farewell tour cause we haven't been in a tent since and don't look for it to happen anytime soon. If you haven't seen enough corn yet, tomorrow through the rest of Ioway and nebrasky ought to do it. Then the fun starts. Best of luck in your travels, I know you will love your new rig.
Dave
