Lee Valley Hardware comes to the USA

Canada has some great stores for RVers. Love the Home Hardware in Osoyoos! I've been looking for a larger aluminum roll-up table for a year. Found the one I wanted at Lee Valley Hardware last summer. Had planned to get it when I was in Winnipeg. That didn't work out, too busy at the Boler 50th to shop.

On Sunday I decided to just have it shipped. Ordered on Sunday, it will be here tomorrow. I paid $6 less (exchange rate) including S&H than Canadians pay. Imagine my surprise to find out it's coming from Reno, Nevada. Lucky US, lucky me!

Great stuff at Lee Valley, we've shopped there for years, but now Donna you have me looking at stuff there instead of getting ready to go camping!

Isn't Reno the only Lee Valley location in the US?

Nice table. I have one like it and we love using it. Stows nicely in the top step compartment I created, along with two chairs, a stool, a dog bed, and a couple other wee things.

I have bought lots of stuff over the years from Lee Valley. While not always the cheapest in various categories, they certainly do focus on quality which means a lot to me, especially for work.

It is, at least right now.

After I got back from my Big Trip, I started looking for that table. Figured Lee Valley had it, so would other stores. Busted. I checked every place from Amazon to 4x4 vehicle camping accessories. I kept coming back to Lee Valley. I'm willing to pay good money for what I want and I'm picky! It needed to be a roll-up aluminum (no folding) table and no silver-colored plastic, be no longer than what would fit under the top step of Ten Forward and have one leg that is adjustable. No easy feat to get those specific requirements! But, I deserve it.

I'll set it up after I get it tomorrow. Hope it goes well and not like some sort of 98 piece puzzle.

Once you figure it out, they are real easy to set up. One leg/frame set, then install 3 cross members, then the two roll up top pieces. Easy peasy, that is if it is exactly like ours, and it looks to be.

That's it. Keep the instructions, just in case. It's not difficult to set up, but you might need a refresher. They are a seasonal item and regularly sell out. I got two when they got them back in.

Mine was bought elsewhere but looks exactly the same. I find once you set it up once, it is impossible to forget how to as it is very simple. I don't think there even were instructions that came with mine.

I love the folding concept but whenever I've looked at them I find the height a little to low for me. Which i could find one with a higher height.

It is $9.10 off right now Jim, at $67.70, expensive still but like the way it folds up.

I've had mine for over 30 years....You can get it with regular legs or adjustable which is nice for uneven ground. I also have a sling that attaches so you can put dishes, etc underneath but I don't see that on the website. It's especially handy for kids--they can eat at this table which is much better for them than a picnic table. Or for coloring or crafts.

https://www.camptime.com/collections...djustable-legs

Anyone who tent camps, they also have roll up cots of various lengths and widths. With a thermarest or other sleeping pad, very comfortable. The owner of the company designed all the things they sell-- a nice guy.

Donna, your table is the exact table that I bought from Lee Valley about 5 years ago. We use it all the time and find it quite sturdy. Shortly after I purchased mine, they went out of stock and did not have them for years. Apparently based on your experience, they are available again.

About 2 years ago, I did purchase this table from MEC https://www.mec.ca/en/product/5054-5...SABEgLdIvD_BwE for my 15B, which turned out to be a nicer and better built table than the Lee Valley table.
