Smile Let the fun begin!

Hi guys,

today we received word from Tammy about our payment, it has arrived in Chilliwack.

So let the fun begin!

We hope to get the 5.0 containered soon and send it off to the Netherlands.

It will be shipped from Vancouver, the trip to itīs new home will take 36 days from Vancouver to Rotterdam from which it will take a few more days to get it over to Harlingen (google maps) from where it will be towed to leeuwarden, the place we call home.

We will keep you posted about the adventures of our new 5.0, the shipping, importing, getting it legalized, the TV (which we still have to choose) etc.

We would like to thank you guys in helping us making the final decision! Just reading lot's of posting on the forum helped us to decide for the Escape 5.0!

Have fun, we are sure we will have lot's of fun with the 5.0

Regards,

Severinus and Yvonne

Congratulations and best wishes. One question about the electric. When north Americans travel to Europe, we normally have to carry adapters to plug in hair dryers, etc. Will you have an adapter to plug the Escape into the electric over there? I know it's a stupid question, but that's how I learn.

Good luck on your adventures and may there be plenty of them.

Not a stupid question at all!

Yes, a converter will be needed to use any of the AC-powered equipment, which basically means the converter/charger and air conditioner (if it has one). I doubt a converter for the air conditioner would be practical, so I assume that a Euro-spec air conditioner should be installed there instead of buying one here. Even the converter/charger (and the power inlet cable) could just be replaced, instead of using a voltage converter.

Y'all need to CATCH UP! Several weeks ago, Severinus and Yvonne posted about the trials and tribulatons of owning an BC build 5er that was being imported to Europe: The very last 5.0 classic SOLD!

I think you'll find all your ?? may be answered in that original thread.
