Magnetic fridge, etc.

I took my "White Trash" fridge magnets I got in my Xmas stocking out to the Toad ( a six-pack of beer, a mobile home, a trashed car, an Elvis poster ) and I can confirm that they will not stick to the fridge. In fact, they fell straight down, into the the trash can that happened to be sitting on the floor. They will stick to the hood above the stove.

Which brings me slightly off topic. There was a thread on FGRV called "What not to do" which consisted of pictures of the insides of eggs. At first, I thought, OK, this is poking fun at some people's design sense. But, then, more and more posts were made, with lots of pictures, and it appeared that these were posted by the owners. I I began to sense that some were proud of what they had done. I never did figure it out.

However, I was thinking of hot-gluing empty beer cans to the outside of the trailer to improve the insulation.

Which sends me totally off topic, but as I near retirement, I'm realizing how much stuff I can really do without. The Sirius satellite radio I got for my birthday almost a month ago, complete with 15 mos. subscription is still sitting on the chest next to the bed. There are a multitude of bits to install it for home use, in the car, and in the trailer, and I just haven't gotten around to it. I'm guessing that we might listen to it for two or three weeks a year when we're traveling.

Don't think I'm getting that TV antennae for the Toad either. I've got a coax cable and if I'm desperate for TV, I'll book into a site that provides cable.

If I am going to retire in 18 months, I've got to stop spending money on things I don't really need.

Of course, I could use a couple more fly rods and maybe replace the 16' Prospector canoe with a light-weight version ( 12 lbs. less $1,200 more ) and I will need a laptop computer since this one belongs to the company, and one of those portable printers ( with a built in scanner ), and a hard drive to store all the pictures I'll take.

And, a beer fridge. Should have got the exterior AC power outlets...

Re: Magnetic fridge, etc.

Hi: gbaglo... The fridge in our 5.0 is definitely magnetic!!! It draws me to the handle with the slightest promise of a cold beer as soon as we arrive at our campsite.
