The liner has velcro and attaches that way.

NO. It is separate. However, I would think two could be zipped together, if needed.

Driveway camping is underrated. We often do that with friends and family.
As others noted, you have everything you need close and handy.
And the comforts of a home are right outside our door when needed.
Installing the fitted bottom sheet is a bit of a struggle.
But my wife has figured it out - she gets me to do it!!
I just need to make sure my finger nails are clipped close so I don't rip them in the process!
Once in place, the fitted sheet stays there, till laundry time comes around. And yes, my wife has that process figured out as well!!

It certainly would be. Your reasoning is very sound.

Make the bed before you get up!
Lindy and I tried the travasack. Lindy doesn't like it for reasons that I don't understand. I think it is the appearance. But Earline (of Bill and Earline) taught Lindy how to make the bed. We have a fitted bottom sheet, and a nice top sheet. There is a duvet that goes on top of that. Lindy makes the bed before she gets out of it. She pulls thing smooth and tucks them I around the edges. Then she slips out from under the covers and finishes smoothing things out. I will admit that I don't quite understand the process but it works.

I much prefer loose sheets myself.
Lisa too usually made the bed in our 19 while still in it, straightening out the extremities, then finishing once she gets out. I don't question the process either, but yes, it does work.

I generally make the bed before I get out of it in the morning -- it's changing the sheets that has been a pain. But yesterday while i was involved in this bed making process I was loving being in the trailer and anticipating our trip to the Thousand Islands this summer and the simplicity of trailer life -- minimal clothes -- minimal cooking stuff -- We just returned from a week in Boulder -- took the sleeper car on the train -- stayed at an Air B&B and it was fine -- fun -- but I much prefer travel in the trailer -- no suitcases to drag -- everything I need always in the same spot -- no need to go out to dinner every night -- I'm glad it's finally spring.

Hi Ruthe,
One more piece of input from a 19 owner and a sailboater. I use a good cotton topped mattress cover with deep sides. Wish somebody made colored mattress covers! The bed is 8 inches deep and if I buy a mattress cover for a 12" or 14" deep queen mattress it works to center the quilting, cover the mattress, and usually stays on if I am careful when I pull off the sheets to launder them.
Next I use stretchy flannel fitted sheet for a queen size deeper mattress. So comfy and stays pretty well stretched. Yes, you must lift the heavy inner mattress corners(one at a time) somehow to get the fitted corners in place-so while I'm there lifting the inside bottom I also tuck in the corner of the top sheet and a bit of our blanket.
On the non-fitted top sheet, I use cotton unless cold enough for flannel, I have sewn a 12" wide 3' long extra piece of sheet and tuck only that piece at the foot to leave the top sheet loose for foot movement.
"Making the bed" to tidy up just means smoothing the bottom, pulling the sheet up, then the blanket. We like fleece-king size blanket, very light weight.
Works for us.
But I have a question. I'm too cheap to buy sheets to try them. Are there any comments people want to make on the comfort of synthetic blend sheets?

We put a fitted sheet on the mattress, and leave it on. We added a 2" memory foam topper on top of this. The memory foam topper then gets regular sheets (one fitted, one flat) which get changed regularly. The 2" memory foam topper is a lot easier to pull back and fit the sheet over than the "real" mattress...

We simply use sheets that are much bigger that fit a bed at home. No problem getting them on in the trailer. We have used two flat sheets but right now are using a fitted bottom and flat top.
