Gotta love Corgis. We've had five over the last 30 years. Our first Corgi (a Cardigan) was in wheels and our last Corgi is from Whidbey Island. When my life settles down I hope to have another.

Love this story- we also have a latex mattress at home and decided when we ordered our 21 not to even bother with the stock mattress. When we bought our Aireloom latex I started having a sore back and called to see about returning it. They said that the latex can be stiff at first and to break it in walk on it. This was an expensive mattress, about $3K seven years ago- and that was from a store going out of business. Anyway we also bought a Bliss Latex topper- and that ended up being perfect. Liked it so much we bought another for a different memory foam bed in the house too which we later used with the 21 bed. The foundation for that bed is 4" closed cell foam. Combo works great. To hear that you found a great mattress all-in-one is very fortunate- it also helped that you have a 19 with a queen bed vs. a long double with a cut corner as we have. Good on your husband for being undeterred!

There are different kinds of latex and I believe that Talalay is more comfortable(and usually more expensive) than Dunlop. If interested- do your homework and learn about ILD. One good source is Sleep Like The Dead.

I too love sleeping on latex foam, and at home have a real nice mattress that has a layer of small coil springs, and a topper of 3" of latex foam with the density we prefer, my wife's being stiffer than mine.

Due to the weight, I would never put a think latex matress in our trailer but may do a latex topper some day.

We added a plain convoluted mattress topper to our trailer bed and it works very well. A fair bit lighter than latex too.
