Merritt to Whitehorse
Can anyone who has travelled the Merritt (Or Osoyoos) to Whitehorse route, with a trailer in tow, give me a rundown on places to stay overnight. We would prefer not to stay in commercial RV parks and hope to do the trip up in about four to five days, coming back will be a leisurely jaunt of about four to six weeks. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Richard and Angela

Thanks, that's a great site. I think I'll buy another bear spray! Does anyone have any ideas for the B.C. Part of the trip? Cheers, Richard

If you don't have them already, BC Forest Service maps show their campgrounds for an area. Unfortunately, they are no longer free. I picked up several at Tourism Information kiosk.
I suspect you could find them on-line too, but I still love having maps.

Here is the BC Forest Service site and it lists all the forestry campgrounds.

Hi John. We did the P.G , Dawson creek, Fort Stjohn, fort Nelson, Watson lake three years ago but motelled it. I'm wondering about the P.G, burns lake, dease lake
route but it looks pretty hilly on the map. Any thoughts?. Glenn thanks i'll look into it. Thanks

Have only been as far as Mezidan Junction and on to Stewart but was not camping or pulling a trailer. Easy going to that point. I have no idea what the journey north from there is like.
Either way it will no doubt be a great trip.
