Name that Escape!

We've just opened the contest to family and close friends for the 5.0TA we're picking up on 3 May '16.

We thought some might enjoy the first set of entries from a very prolific friend. Some 'in-jokes': our names, the fact that our cabin (where the trailer will be extra guest housing in summer) is on Bottle Bay, Lake Pend Oreille (pronounced 'ponderay'), Idaho, and the fact that we told everyone that the words "old" and "folly" were not allowed. Our daughter now says that the name must be "The Old Folks' Folly" . . .

Official "Name the Escape" entries:

First name that occurred, and then rejected for a certain reason [ed. note: we recently recovered from a bed bug infestation!]:
Snug as a Bug

the classics:
Sleep Inn
The Sands
Bide-a-While
El Rancho
Rainbow Court
The Wagon Wheel
Thunderbird
Cross Country Inn

referencing your name:
the Lazy S
Sherrard Manor
Shar-Tom or the Tom-Shar

People’s names (kind of anyway):
Bay-be
Sylvia
Sherr-Shar-Share (each pronounced the same)
Roman

literary/theatrical references:
Midsummer Night’s Dream
Arden
To Bay or Not to Bay
Page-turner
Speaks Volumes

aspirational phrases:
Home Already
We Can Get There from Here
This Vehicle Stops at Bottle Bay
My Other Trailer Is A Kenworth

nature references:
Lucky LAGO (Spanish for lake)
A Way from the Bay
Pond Your Way
Lichen This
Lakeside Court
Flamingo Roost

references to the vehicle :
Taking the Fifth
Trailer
Trai-lure
Trai-lore
Trail Mix
Cabin-ette
Beethoven’s Fifth
Made in Canada
Towing the Line

musical names, requires notes shown with the letters:
In Tune
Good Measure
Home, home on the Range
Valderi, Valdera

Ones that you said didn’t qualify:
Folly Me
Folly Us
Shady Pines

miscellaneous:
Wayside Chapel
The Solution

Tom, IF you name it, I'll just repeat very good advice that was given to us: the name should tell part of your story. After all, it's your trailer.

You might as well name it: "Getting Nowhere". (Too many names to choose from)

I suggested to Jim Bennett (by PM, over on FGRV) who is getting a new 5.0TA and has always called his trailers "The Trailer" that he might want to use a dyslexic version of a famous cinematic location since "trailer" in itself is a cinematic term. I suggested "Beats Motel" since an Escape beats a motel room any night of the week. He did, however, respond that my suggestion was a bit Psycho, and he didn't want folks to get the impression that he was creepy!

I did share with friends and family that "Past Tents" is my all-time favorite name -- most have agreed!

Yes, we have found it very hard to name our trailer. Forum suggestions were great when I said I was having trouble. I finally thought of one I liked, then decided it is too much commitment to write it on the trailer! I like the idea of one quick word, so "Faraway" might do- and I agree that "Past Tents" has that something special.
Have fun with all your choices!

I like many of the suggestions made.

Eleven years ago I named our then new Scamp "Travelling Egg" California licence "TRVLEGG" which will move to the new 2016 Escape on order. Our travelling photo website of the same name and even future email address patiently waiting for etirement ....soon.
