In my opinion Vermont during peak foliage is one of the most beautiful sights to behold!

It most indeed is! The White Mountains aren't too shabby, either.

We have dear friends from Vermont, Ian and Jenny, who were the first ones to introduce us to the wonderful world of Escape trailers. Several members of our southeastern group of campers (Egg, Scamp, Casita) were drawn by the lure of the Escapes and we started calling it the Vermont Virus. The virus spread to 4 or 5 households and we are the latest to be happily afflicted!

Heard an economist predict a 75 cent Canadian dollar today, so it could become an epidemic.

I'll be happy to spread the disease Glenn.

ETI got our check today and the conversion rate was around 78 cents - so that isn't too far off.

Now that's a double hurt, when I sent my checks they averaged about 85 cents on the dollar. Today I took the second "hurt" when I paid the Washington State sales tax on "Escaping Reality".

gbaglo--on the conversion rate--very little bit helps. But we are forever happy to spread the Escape bug, even though we have yet to pick ours up!

So a $35,000 cn Escape will only cost you $27,300 us- what a deal. They have to be really thinking about raising their prices for US customers or is that allowable?

My math was off Jim. It's about 80 cents - not 78. Still, excellent for US buyers.

I would expect that they would have to raise prices for all at some point since, as far as I know, the fridge, stove, furnace, water heater, etc. etc. are all imported from the US and paid for in US dollars.

My first check landed a couple of weeks ago, and my second and final should land at ETI at the end of this week. I'm gonna be happy even if I was a week or so early on the first one. The no sales tax and relatively low registration here in Oregon helps ease the pain.
