New Awning

Is it normal to have paint spray on a new awning? Picked up trailer last week and noticed a strip of white paint on the awning when fully opened.

It must have been something from the awning manufacturer. Escape does very little painting, and not white.

I actually can't see it in the photo.

I don't see the "paint" you are referring to. The trailer is not painted. Perhaps you are looking at caulk?

When you completely unwind the awnings, the last foot or so are solid white on most all of them.

Is normal, and I don't believe it is paint, nor caulk.

Minor change of thought here on awnings --a note of caution for all us with old-style manual awnings. (A thorough walk-around helps not getting screwed.)

Wow, good catch there Myron, otherwise yours may have ended up on the highway.
