Steve who is a member here and apparently owns two Olivers has weighed in on this.

I believe it is just regular ply. No need for marine grade, really. Not saying it has never happened, but I haven't heard of any plywood issues in past models.

I believe both of these are answered by Tammy in a post back in 2009

Probably all dried out living in the desert. Take a trip to the rainforest....helps with the manicure too.
Seriously, ours seems to make less noise than previously, especially around the bed.

The perimeter of the floor recesses to allow for any water to drain. This lowered area has drain holes at various points. You can clearly see the recess in the video. Here's a snip.

This would seem to indicate something rubbing on the plywood, especially with the squeaks. Maybe something in contact with it, like cabinetry or something. I know in homes when floors squeak, the vast majority of the time it is the nails holding the subfloor down, sliding in and out of the holes they are in. One reason I always use screws, though not really an option in our trailers.

Oh man, can I attest to this. After 5 weeks in Arizona, my fingernails were breaking off down to the nubs (and lower). They are much better now, and we are not in that humid of a climate.

I've had similar issues and the floor squeak in front of the sink drove M. nuts.
Also had the same situation between the front of the sink cabinet and the counter top. The staples weren't doing their job. I installed cleats, glued and screwed and that silenced the squeaks.

That is the color of the form silly! The white is the gel coat, the shell gets built from the outside in.

Yes, the mold surface is usually a dark color, black is typical. It helps show thin spots in the gelcoat that need more sprayed on thickness.
Not that the folks that built my Moody sailboat worried about cutting it that close to the line. I don't think that there was any area of gelcoat less than an 1/8" thick. Made it very easy to repair damage.

I think a light blue gelcoat on the exterior would look grand. Red... ...not so much!

If I recall you shredded your lovely nails on the ladderball tournament court in Quartzsite trying to put a beat down on the BC team for Canadian bragging rights.

The Oliver-Escape comparison is just as unfair as a Scamp/Castia-Escape comparison.
The trailers are offering different quality of build and pricing reflects that.
35-36k CAD pre taxes is still out of our budget, but it's more attainable than something 50+k USD.
Considering what mainstream crap MSRPs for in Central Canada, an Escape is ahead leaps and bounds in quality.
A Winnebago Minnie drop is around 18'4" and 2500lb empty and is 23k CAD if you hunt for a deal, in my province more like 26-28k. A little bigger than a 17b, and not much cheaper. (Some things standard on drop are options on escape)
Now the Drop in the USA is like 18k so it's then the difference in price looks huge.
But which trailer do you think will last longer?
