Hopefully the finish is okay on this hardwood. I have used gaffers tape on hardwood a fair bit over the years with no issue, making dust barriers and the such. Unlike duct tape, it has always peeled off easy, leaving little or no residue. Kinda strange what happened in your case, definitely not the norm.

I am going to try a different brand on this floor next time. The stuff I have now will be perfect to keep in the Escape.

Note to wife. I told you so. Take those tumblers back to Crate and Barrel, these folks will think we're hillbillies. We'll just drink it from the bottle like we used to.

I haven't seen anyone list this lately: Sterlite 67 Quart Wheeled Latch Box (The Home Depot for $22). You can fit 2 under the bed in the 19' Escape. We took the front wheels off and also place something between the door and the "slightly raised floor" under the bed to keep them from moving out when traveling. We use the "most accessible" box for our cookware and the one that is stored "to the left" for items that we don't need every day such as "off season clothes," shoes & boots, extra hose or extension cord, etc.

I am still planning to do a pullout tray/drawer there, like others have done, have the materials, just need to find the time. What we use now is wire laundry baskets, and seems to work okay for storing stuff, and accessing it. Nothing heavy stored there, and they slide out fine.

All of our dishes are in the upper galley cabinet, other than our cookware and big bowls, which are in the lower cabinet there, along with other stuff.

I imagine there is a different solution for everyone, with certain similarities.

we've got the "largish" resin type wine glasses too for the trailer--started out with small glass ones---too small and even though they were wrapped I was worried about them breaking.
We do have large glass beer mugs though (but I don't like the wine out of them!)

I know you are trying to be funny, but some people who come from Appalachia might not think it was so funny. We should respect our heritages.

I think one of the greatest abilities a person can have is the ability to laugh at themselves. Our society is far too PC for it's own good. Most folks I know from Appalachia, or the Ozarks, or any other so-called "hillbilly" area would laugh right along.

If I ever get offended at a cultural pun directed at me, I might as well hang it up.

Say What?

Sorry, but you totally lost me on that. Not sure how making myself look not too bright disrespects anyone. I don't even have any idea where the Appalachia is either.

Your post came up while I was posting.

I was laughing at myself with my post, thought everyone would see that. I have heard of the Ozarks, but all I said is I wasn't a hillbilly. Still not sure what I am missing here. Could it be this Canucklehead (no disrespect meant to other Canadians here ) is getting slow as he ages.

Jim, it should be on your bucket list. The Appalachian Mountains extend from Maine all the way to Georgia - and they're just beautiful. They're the "oldest" mountains in North America, while the Rockies are the "youngest". Certain Appalachian communities are very poor, with a lack of industry, opportunity or education - and it's kind of the origin of the idea of the hillbilly.

I should have put two and two together. I definitely have heard of the Appalachian Mountains, and will definitely be touring that way once retired. I just assumed hillbilly was a term used generically, just as redneck is. Was Deliverance by chance set in this area? Great movie!
