Edit: OK then, well, I guess you could tear the strings off,
turn it over, and use it for a one-handled poutine container.

On the very southern end of it, yes. Northern Georgia.
And no Glenn, no pig recipes from me.

Poor, poor baglo. Don't you feel sorry for him? This is good for honing his thread splitting skills.

I hope you know that the kid "playing the banjo" in Deliverance isn't actually playing. There was an accomplished banjo player hidden behind him with arms extended so it looked like the kid was playing.

I had no idea of the origin of "hillbilly" or "redneck" until I recently saw a TV show about the origin of words. Both are used derisively, but both historically meant a particular ethnic group (originally Scottish in both cases), so equating either with stupidity could be considered an insult (accidental, in this case) to a group of people. In both cases, these are people whose ancestors immigrated to the U.S. under difficult conditions, and successfully settled a challenging area.
Since my ancestry is half Scottish, I would be insulted... if I thought the insult was deliberate, but of course it was not!

Though those may be the origins, it certainly is not the common description, especially that of redneck. I proudly consider myself to be part redneck.

With feeling of great guilt since I have expressed disdain for plastic wine glasses on this forum I must now confess to having just purchased: two plastic wine glasses, two plastic cooler glasses and a plastic beer mug.
In my defense at least I didn't buy plastic tumblers!
My excuse: My kids wanted me to come along to the hot tub store where they had just purchased a hot tuband I spotted some plastic glassware the store had on displayed. So I bought them a few plastic glasses. And they didn't seem half bad so I bought some for our Escape.
So I have proudly joined my fellow Escape plastic glass wine bibbers.

On my last camping trip I took a fall in the dark with a glass of wine in my hand I was glad it wasn't glass!

Check out this old thread on polycarbonate wine glasses ( I have the Duraclear beer mugs ). Not cheap, but not plastic.

Since wine glasses are a crucial issue for so many on the forum ... this is what we use at home and will probably use in the trailer as well. They are lightweight, crystal yet almost unbreakable, and because they are stemless, are much less likely to break. The only problem for some is that the red wine glasses might be a bit large for smaller hands. And perhaps the fact that it holds a lot of wine might be an issue for others .
