That depends on the model. Also, it's hard to measure because it's tapered in many directions.

These are the measurements given for the storage box on the 17' spec sheet:

"Storage Box 74”l tablerted to 42”l x 19”h x 12”d" I think they mean "tapered" .

This thread should help. I believe the boxes on the 19 and 21 are the same. Just ignore the references to the batteries since they aren’t inside the box on the 21.

Unless they've changed them, the boxes on the 19 and the 21 are not the same size. The 21 box is larger overall (about 4 inches wider?) and as you mention there is no center platform for mounting the batteries on. This gives the 21 storage box much more interior volume.

Hi Robert
Right you are, the 2013 Escape 21 box is bigger than the 2010 19 box. It's about the same width but about 6 inches longer. Take away the batteries and an 11 lb propane tank fits nicely in the 21 box along with lots of other things. Enjoying your humble abode construction thread, won't be long, you'll be moving in.

Oops. The dimensions in the thread I linked are good for the 19 then. It agrees with the 19 floor plan with measurements on the ETI site. Unfortunately the dimensions of the box for the 21 isn’t on the the equivalent page.
