And a question.
I have been searching for a 12V fan that I can use outside ( on an extension cord ). Used to have one but it died. I don't want to order it from Amazon, I just want to buy it at a store. So far, no luck. Tried Canadian Tire, London Drugs, Home Depot, Home Hardware.
Any suggestions? Or should I just get a 120V and plug it into an inverter when off-grid?

You may have to order it as a 12v one would be unusual. Think we bought ours at Camping World. A marine or RV place maybe.

The Flying J/Pilot in Hope Glenn. They have a trucker store.

If you give a shout out soon, I can go look for you.

Thanks.
I can swing in there on my way up to Osoyoos. I'm a bit afraid to go into a trucker store for fear I'll buy way more stuff than I really need or want.

The Home Hardware in Osoyoos is amazing, there is a good chance they will have something.

The Home Hardware carries some of just about anything you can think of, so they may have it.
If not there is an RV repair and retail store very close to rally site.

  1. Okanagan R V Centre
  2. Driveshaft Shop
  3. Address: 6010 Lakeshore Dr, Osoyoos, BC V0H 1V0
    Phone:(250) 495-6548

I've seen the portable Endless Breeze 12V fan by Fantastic Fan at RV stores. It has about a six-foot 12V cord. I bought mine via Amazon, however.

I've also seen the Ryobi portable fan at Home Depot. It uses 120V or the Ryobi 18V battery pack that their other tools use.

Lacking patience, I picked up a 120V Honeywell Power Air Circulator and then I sent them an email asking if that's their marketing department's term for "fan". Also asked about power consumption, since that's nowhere to be found. Anyway, it was $19.99 so no loss. Has a 1-year warranty. If it needs repair, you have to send it to them, at your expense, with $10 for postage and handling.

Glen Thanks for the forecast. We were up in the Bighorns near Buffalo WY. This afternoons. It was 34 degrees and snowing heavy, opted to come down 4000 feet into the rain.
80 degrees looks pretty good to us.

Leaving in the morning... arriving on Wednesday. Looks like I'll need to pack extra sunscreen

Osoyoos weather for the rally as of this morning.
