Osoyoos waters rising

Pack your swim trunks.

In previous years, high lake water has closed some lakefront sites.

Looking at the news photos & video, it appears that the water is higher than last year at the Rally. There were a fair number of folks at & near the lake who had to move.

With the camp ground completely full if they have to close campsites along the lake I wonder if there will be problems getting a site for the rally?

I expect that flooded campsites have been taken into account, which is why the campground is full.
If you are planning on camping around the Okanagan before or after the rally, best check availability.

We have ours, not sure where as they would not give us a site number but they did take the reservation a few months back. I just wondered if they have to shut a lot of sites whether they will have problems with the number of people attending the rally.

You have to admit, not many people have a set of those. They would look good hanging from the back of your bicycle. Or your blue boy if you have one. I have one hat home and think that's where mine is going

Hwy 3 near Keremeos is closed indefinitely due to flooding those heading west to the factory would route through the Coq or south via WA state or hwy 3A just south of Penticton.

IF you're traveling to the rally and plan on going through Montana, keep an eye on the weather and conditions. Half the state is flooding, the other half under a winter storm watch for snow! Weather forecast: Snow and heavy rain Friday - KPAX.com | Continuous News | Missoula & Western Montana

So what do you think? Does it project the image like the ones on the rear of trucks?
I'm thinking a couple NOS and Type R stickers with a fartcan hanging underneath would help complete this turdhaulers makeover..

This should be an interesting trip by the time we get there.
Hopefully we do not get to see if Escapes float.

Hi Donna
Sounds like a opportunity for some storytelling on the most harrowing trip to get to Osoyoos this year. “From the Yukon to the sunny shores of Florida they came like lemmings to the Osoyoos rally”. While James Taylor plays Fire and Rain softly in the background. Gonna start day drinking any minute now. And who were the Three Frozen Kings?

Hopefully if they decide to cancel it will be early next week so we can drift another direction. It's already changed where we cross and some of our plans needed revised. I guess I'll use my data plan a lot this trip.

You can’t push an Escape with a 9 1/2. Oh yes you can . And another modification begins. The end of tire threads.

The rally generally takes up all of C loops, which wouldn't flood even if Noah attended. Lots of lake front sites that may have to close.
City of Osoyoos is concerned about their septic system. I'm not sure if Mk'Nip is on its own system.

Their Facebook site claims that all sites north of the store lost water and sewer. I would guess they are what, about 3' above normal lake height?
