Smile our first time out !

Barry and I just got home from our first venture out in our Fort Worth ! WOW it was a fantastic experience !we stayed at Porteau Cove on the Sea to Sky hwy....about an hour from our home.

The only camping we had done was tenting and it has been at least 20 years since we last did that. For our first time out things went very well. This trip gave us a bit of insight as to things we may want to take with us next time.

I like to think we have learned a few things from this forum and hope to keep learning. Thanks to you all for your info and the humour you bring to this forum.

Cheers, Janet & Barry::

It's hard to get Porteau Cove reservations in the summer months so you were wise to get there last week-end. And it was sunny most of the week-end. Alice Lake campground is just a few min. further up the Sea to Sky. It's nice there too. BTW, Squamish Live is once again here this summer and there's a full service campground a 5 min walk from the main stage. Always fun. Loud....but fun.

It was a terrific weekend...sunny days and cool nights but oh so wonderful to have a warm RV to get comfy in after the sun had set ! We have heard that it can be difficult to get into during the summer. A friend suggested we check out the BC parks website to reserve and found out that they start taking reservations starting March 15th at 7 am. Must get out the calendar and make some plans ! Cheers Janet

Congrats.
If you spend the following week at Porteau Cove you can confirm that the trailer is water and windproof.
