Our Public Lands

I have been meaning to post a comment for sometime about the recent closing down / reducing Monument Lands in the South West .... namely Bear's Ears and the like. I would like our membership to write to their respective Congressmen and encourage them to increase funding and acreage for our national and state parks and for other camping opportunities. We need more not less. I like to think about what camping will be like for our ancestors say 100 years in the future. I don't want to have to put in a reservation 5 years in advance for a camp site.

Fortunately, past government officials had the foresight to set aside vast areas for 'wild country' for us all to enjoy. Government wheels turn slow and the time to act is now. Please write your representatives.

OK my rant is over ... I better get back to my income taxes prep. Wouldn't it be nice if we could designate where our tax monies go .... I feel so much better about paying.

My wife and I figured out our taxes this morning . If we refuse our refund will the money go to you ?

It all depends if I'm supposed to get a COLA or not.......... but thanks for offering, otherwise my favorite charity is the local SPCA....
