Owners Map

So we enthusiastically acquired our long awaited Escape 19 last Monday and after completing our 1250 mile round trip, we are patiently stocking it with items needed for the upcoming camping season. I've tried posting a pin on the owners map - with no success. When it says: "To add a new marker, click on the small pin icon under the search bar ..." What search bar? What small pin icon? I'm missing something .. Could someone help me?

I believe you must have a Google account--and be logged in--to post on the map. Or you can just have one of the moderators or someone who knows what they're doing (not me) do it for you.

Edited: I see it's fouled up again with the 15s and 19s having the same color (green).

I am logged into the forum, logged into my Google account on my PC, and looking at the Owners Map in the EscapeForum web page using Chrome (Google's browser)... and I don't see any search bar or way to add a pin, either.

Then I noticed
Quote:
View Escape Trailers in a larger map
at the bottom of the map - I clicked that link and the map opens in a new window, entirely outside of the forum, looking entirely different, and complete with a search box (bar) and a pin icon (among others) below the search bar.

Colors OK - someone else probably fixed them. I changed your trailer from a 21 to a 19 - now light blue.

It looks like only the 21's changed; I just changed them back to Navy Blue, to follow this key from the description:

Quote:
5.0 - Red
21' - Navy
19' - Teal
17' - Yellow
15' - Green
13' - Pink
Someday - Purple
I see that there is an extra red point labelled as just "Point 227", located at [42.27222, -85.06851] (near Ceresco, MI); the model is apparently "2015". This may be a complete mistake, or may need to be fixed. There are also three more points with invalid model identification; these also show in red.
  • everettb1 (Bill and Carrie) - near Warrenton, MD
  • "Point 224" - near Greene, NY
  • SL and P Berry, West Jordan, UT
This is likely the 2016 19' which was recently sold before construction (because how many Escapes could there be in West Jordan); if so, this pin should be deleted - the new owner can put in the new location as a new pin if desired.

Yes, that was me. Sorry for the confusion - I was checking into the invalid points and had not posted yet.

Point 227 was me trying to put our 19 on the map. I think I fixed it. If not I welcome suggestions.

Thanks Caren. I suppose if there were a convenient search of forum members by location I would have found that it was you - there can't be many Escapes in Ceresco.

You had already fixed the model and therefore colour, but I changed the title from the default ("Point 227") to "Larry & Caren", and tweaked the description a bit for clarity (there's no clear standard to be followed for this map). I hope that's okay!
