That is true for me, but I did wish them well in their pursuit of a successful product. I recognize that getting a product to market is very, very difficult. What cracks me up is all the comments on the Noria Kickstarter page with people complaining that they ordered air conditioners and never received them. You didn't order an air conditioner, you donated money for a CHANCE to get an air conditioner IF the project was successful. Noria could fold with absolutely no obligation to it's backers.

If you have had success with this, I would be interested in what brand of small portable AC you are using.

I also have a portable unit on the RV, which is a product of LG. The difference with other portables is that the outlet is upwards, some people don't like it, but I am very satisfied. This way cold air can flow more evenly throughout the car.

AC??
WE live in TN and camp in the south eastern US mostly..hardly need the AC in the Smokies and therabouts but definitely in AL and FL coast where we often go. What I wish for often is a third [LOWER] speed on the roof AC units..sometimes the "747 Jet Airplane" sound of the roof units are just too much. ;-)

Which “Smokies” are you referring to ? The ones South of Knoxville are unbearably hot and humid so I assume you are referring to a different “ Smokies” . Always looking for new places to visit .

here is a youtube article of a guy running an air conditioner off of solar panels
We bought one of the a/c units he says is very light on power and it is and it is quiet as well but we wanted it for a 130 sq foot bedroom in a cabin that just bakes in the summer. 95 to 104 degrees. It had a hard time cooling the room but it did if we left it running all day and we could sleep properly so it was a win for us.

We had a Casita 17 Spirit Deluxe, one of the first off the line, a 1996. It had a room type air conditioner in the closet at the entry. The Casita 16s still have those today. It was vented outside, intake was outside and worked well. The previous owner had replaced it once and used a Wal-Mart under $500 A.C. that fit the space. We were intrigued by the concept and thought it was one of the best things in our Casita. We love our Escape 19 and will never go back to a Casita.
