We could only have purchased at this new price level if the exchange rate stayed well over 40%. Since you can't even order yet at these new prices, what will the rate be by the time you can order? Who knows? I'm glad we pulled the trigger when we did or we probably would be out. One very positive thing is that our two-footitis has now been cured. This will be interesting to watch.

Yeah, they could have at least thrown us a bone in the form of some kind of new standard feature.

I must be in the small minority to think that is a reasonable exchange rate hit.

History of ETI has seen options become standard over and over.

They had already said that they will have some new standard features. I hope we don't want to exchange our (new) 21'!

I assume that this increase is for 2017's yet to be ordered, not orders already in, right?

That's what I was assuming. Doesn't really look like they've put up the final option pricing and standard features yet as those seem to be the 2016 ones. Probably a work in progress.

The new and used market for Escapes is astounding, constantly changing. My wife and I had both really liked the 5.0 and had considered upgrading but I'm afraid this price hike and waiting list just doesn't make it possible. No biggie, were still content with our 19'. The market for Escape is just finding its equilibrium.

Your not alone . I did some figuring from the new 19 base price added about 7000. In extra's and it still comes out a little cheaper then what we paid in 2013. We still feel Escape is a great trailer at a great price .Just our thoughts . Pat and Linda

I just think it would have been better if Reace had announced the new features at the same time he announced the big price increase. It would have softened the blow. All I know right now is that the trailer I wanted will cost me significantly more today than it would have yesterday. Plus the exchange rate has been sliding the wrong way the last few days adding even more to the final cost. It's gonna be a wait and see.

Did a little math, if it's correct...
ETI raised prices roughly 22% from when I bought 2 years ago
I paid $38300 CAD or $32600 USD
Bumping up the price 22% gives me $46700 or $33180 USD
A difference of $560 USD in 2 years.

No such luck for our Canadian friends.

Or did I do something wrong.

Can't say I was shopping the exchange rate when I bought, I wanted the trailer and was willing to pay the CAD price. The discount was an unexpected bonus that paid for shipping. Don't know if I'd go $46700 in USD though.

One thing that's not clear is when does the price increase apply? Does it apply to those who have already put down a deposit for a 2016 model (that would be unfair) or just for those planning on a 2017 model? If the latter, the increase is meaningless at the moment since you can't even order one yet so why not wait to announce the price increase until the new feature set is ready to be announced?

If you paid a deposit then your price should be already determined. Price increases normally will apply to future orders, as 2017+ years.
Maybe it is still in the stars for me if standard features are changed, I'm still in line.
