Raised Dinette Spatial Perception (19)

For those with a raised dinette, do you feel it causes a perception the internal space feels smaller, like it's more segmented? I could see it feeling larger without the 3" rise because the floor has a longer run.

I can see that. A cozy, more bistro feel to the dinette seems plausible with creating a step-up to it. Well, maybe not so much if you got really long legs. I liked the idea of sitting higher up so I raised my dinette cushions 3 inches.

Why the raised dinette? Are the windows too high to see out without raising the dinette?

Our 19 it isn't a problem seeing out the windows for us, but some indicate that they have a problem with seeing out the windows.

I'm 5' 11" and wife is about 5' 7.5"
You might want to go sit in one if you can find one near you and see what's what.

And I'm the same height as Greg and I raised our seats about 2".

If I'm camped near water I like to be able to see it without craning my neck. For me it was easy to see nearby mountains, the water, not so much. Maybe I'm just a slouch. But the suggestion to sit in one first before making any decisions is a good one, everyone has different perceptions about the situation.

To clarify, it should be noted that with the dinette at the front in the 19, some folks have chosen to raise the seating level as the bottom of the front windows are higher than those in the rear.
