Don't forget, you may have to figure out what you can reach in order to turn it on and off.

Ignore the dirty trailer. This is where it's mounted on Ten Forward

I had one on my 19 and don't think I ever used it. We opted out on our 5.0TA and have never missed it.

I have to admit, I think I've used it twice... probably for stupid stuff. At the time, I thought it would be a good security feature since I travel solo. I can turn all the exterior lights on while inside. So the trailer lights up all the way around. I'm not sure ETI offers that anymore though.

We ordered a similar arrangement to Donna D's on our 2017 21' (lights all around, rear just below the belly band), so ETI was still doing it as recent as our completion date this past February. One inside switch controls the entrance door light, and a second inside switch right beside it controls the three other outside lights - front, driver-side and rear. We haven't needed those latter three outside lights yet, but then we haven't yet needed the fire extinguisher, propane detector, safety brake, wheel jack, etc., etc., either. But we still feel good knowing we have them all for if/when we might want/need them.

This was after about a 2-1/2 week trip. With some 30 miles of driving down a dusty, washboard road to dig black opals in the Nevada desert. It was like Playa dust and I think it was even in my ears .

Actually, I stand (or sit, in this case) corrected (by myself). Our rear light is just ABOVE the belly band, between the bottom of the rear window and the belly band. Incorrect information was provided to the reporter (me, in both cases).
