We are officially in the game. Late starters, but strong finishers.

Renegade escapee below the composter. I'm too lazy to walk down to the main patch in the garden.

Be careful - he's got a black belt in Torque Wrench and carries a concealed loaded one with him at all times. Granted the "concealed" part might be a stretch....

Down here in the wild country known as Iowa, where men are men and sheep are nervous, our enlightened legislature passed a stand your ground law last week which allows you to use a torque wrench to pound the snot out of any rhubarb thieves and if you can't get the job done you can call for your 8 year old daughter to fend them off with your Glock Pistola. No fooling. But very scary.

My rhubarb is fully capable of defending itself.

You're weird! Strawberry-rhubarb is one of the best fruit flavour combinations out there.

Though rhubarb on its own is delicious too. Stewed rhubarb with fresh biscuits and a dollop of ice cream..... Mmmmmm.....

Mine is just starting to poke out of the ground... calling for snow tomorrow, so it will no longer be visible... sigh.

Strawberry - a quick way to ruin a rhubarb pie!

I'm with Jim on this. Rhubarb stands on its own just fine!
