Morraine CG in RMNP, get a site overlooking the meadow, C loop I think, outside on the south side of the loop, something like 232. Probably need reservations well ahead of time, depending on when you go.

Hard, no, impossible, to beat Moraine campground in Rocky Mountain NP, especially when the elk are migrating.

The last time we camped at the Timber Creek Campground in RMNP, we had the Elk come right through the camp. This campground is just North of Grand Lake in the Never Summer Range.

Deer are also common and friendly. Obviously well conditioned by the many campers. My kids were playing catch in the campground with a red ball. The deer walked up to the one holding the ball and smelled it. No, not an apple.

Brainard Lake State Recreation Area , just South of RMNP. Some of the best moose in the state.

There are several campgrounds betweeen Brainard and Moraine Park.
